IT Systems Technician A great time to join an established and UK Market leading engineering services provider, based in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire as an IT Systems Technician Reporting directly to the Systems Manager, the successful IT Systems Technician will work to: Provide support to the Systems Manager to maintain windows-based Industrial Control Systems to achieve continued system availability for operational purposes. Complete required Network and System maintenance tasks including, but not limited to: upgrade and replacement of hardware, and software obtaining and securely storing software backups, refreshing software licences. Undertake maintenance of Systems at operational sites. Configure system changes and update of operating manuals, procedures and drawings as instructed. This opportunity would suit an experienced IT systems technician with a background in / exposure to - any one of the following industries- Utilities, Plant/Pump engineering, Oil & Gas, Construction/Conco. The successful IT Systems Technician will be able to demonstrate: Experience of hands-on maintenance, configuration and fault finding on Systems Networks, Routers/Switches/Firewalls, Windows Servers and workstations. Ability to read and understand network diagrams Willingness to learn hands-on maintenance, and fault-finding on LV installations and instrument wiring. Reporting to management and colleagues, face-to-face, by telephone and in writing as requested. Flexibility to support OOH and work on a shift rotation. IT Systems Technician Location: Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire. Salary: £25-30k (depending on experience) Disturbance/Standby £5,300 Benefits: Disturbance & Standby allowance, Bonus (up to 7-8%), Contributed pension up to 8%, 25days leave (option to buy 5), annual social events, personal development opportunities by way of x3 certified training courses each year, employee recognition scheme.
