About the area you'll be working in… From Finance and IT, to Marketing and People (HR) our support functions are the backbone of our UK operations. We may not deal directly with our customers, but we play an absolutely vital role in making sure that our customer-facing teams get all the support they need to deliver the very best service. What you'll be doing… You will be an integral part of Finance Operation's ensuring the financial systems, underpinning the reporting are working efficiently and effectively. You will be responsible for identifying, defining and recording the technical solutions from the initial development stage through to delivery or deployment. What's a typical day? Representing finance in shaping the technical aspects of the product vision and seeing it through to implementation Interacting between Bupa UK system platforms to present finance data to the user for analysis and troubleshooting Supporting the continued implementation of Bupa's financial systems and ensuring that the current and new functionality of future releases of the systems are utilised Working with the Bupa UK Application Architecture team ensuring optimisation of finance solutions and design of application interfaces Re-evaluating and implementation of process changes in conjunction with new application delivery, with the aim of eliminating unnecessary tasks and reducing delays and duplication of work within finance operations. Who we're looking for? Qualified Accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA) preferred but not essential Previous experience working in Finance Fluency in the use of computer systems; Advanced Excel & Microsoft Office Previous experience of working with complex, financial systems & projects Ability to analyse & present complex technical data in an understandable format for senior management Advantageous - technical knowledge of: SWIFT, core UK systems, AutoRek & PeopleSoft applications) Proven ability to multi-task, work independently & prioritise workloads What's it like to work here?
