This role will contribute to the engineering activities required to Verify and Validate a solution/product achieving customer satisfaction of the delivered solution/product. Key Responsibilities and Tasks: Help in the planning and execution of trials (internal & external based). Help in the liaison with suppliers, sub-contractors & facilities in arranging trials, discussing technical requirements and getting quotes. Supporting the environmental & catapult facilities at MBH & then at Green Park. Working, with supervision, on explosive trials/tests both in the Thales facility and at external test ranges. Supporting the generation of Trials Reports. Provide inputs to tasks associated with formalising the specification and the engineering plans used to develop the solution/product. Develop relationships within the Trials Group Demonstrating understanding of IVVQ lifecycles and how the role influences & interacts with this. Gain an understanding of the catapult, Genesis, high speed camera, SEM (Scanning Electron microscope) & Environmental equipment from the team. Skills and Experience Required Working experience of Environmental Test Equipment Knowledge of Word/Excel and other Microsoft Office tools Working experience or relevant training on the handling of explosives is desirable Working knowledge of an Engineering Configuration Management Tool such as PDM/Windchill or PALMA is desirable In line with Thales' Baseline Security requirements, candidates will be asked to provide evidence of identity, eligibility to work in the UK and employment and/or education history for up to three years.
