Overview

We are looking for a Mortgage Underwriter with a 'can do’ attitude and good communication skills, who is customer focussed and enjoys being part of a successful team. You will to be responsible for ensuring that mortgages are underwritten within lending policy guidelines and will ensure that loan approval is within the risk appetite of the business. The individual will be able meet deadlines, whilst maintaining quality of decision and high service levels to our customers. The candidate should be an experienced mortgage underwriter, minimum of 2 years, and preferably with an equity release mortgage lender. Key Accountabilities: Able in the medium term, to work towards a lending mandate and to underwrite mortgage applications in accordance with current lending policy.
