Overview
Are you an experienced Equity Release Underwriter looking to join a value-based business focused on helping 'do the right thing’? This Equity Release job in Brighton will have the responsibilities for ensuring that equity release mortgages are underwritten within lending policy guidelines and loan approval is within the risk appetite of the business. In addition, you will support and help to deliver training to other Mortgage Underwriters, through coaching and mentoring other team members, as required. You should ensure all work is undertaken to a first-class standard by adopting a right first time attitude and approach. Due to the nature of their product being a lifetime mortgage, you should have experience of assessing equity release lending / products. Flexible working This Equity Release Underwriter job has the potential benefits of 1 - 2 days work from home, subject to agreement. Equity Release Underwriter Requirements You must be an experienced Mortgage Underwriter with 2 years experience Underwriters with experience of equity release lending would be preferable You must have up to date knowledge of the UK regulatory environment You must have excellent communication skills with great customer focused service and attention to detail The Company Our client is a leading mutual society formed over 30 years ago with a goal to help families understand the world of modern finance.
