Overview

Our client is a rapidly growing global e-commerce delivery company based in the Basildon area and due to opening up a new department, they now have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Carrier Manager who will report directly to Head of Carrier Management. This position will include some National and occasionally international travel. This is an exciting and challenging role. We require someone who has experience in the end-to-end carrier industry. You will understand all about outbound delivery solutions, returns solutions and any industry related innovations. The main element of this role will be to monitor and manage our carriers and partners, to define new relationships and to continuously develop best in class delivery and returns propositions and processes. Key Activities for the Carrier Manager will include: • Manage relationships with the partners and carriers to ensure customer expectations exceeded • Support in continuously delivering Proposition Enhancements and lead implementation in the UK, Europe, USA (and beyond as required) • Forecasting and carrier planning • Lead and drive day to day operations ensuring all service levels are achieved • Support all new service implementations working with the Senior Management team • Look to achieve faster and wider choice of deliveries and returns for customers • Support the Carrier Management operational and IT road maps • Work with the Internal teams to ensure optimized solutions exist • Pro-active SLA and KPI monitoring and management • Financial Management - managing carriers to ensure they deliver within contractual parameters • Owning and conducting regular carrier reviews, managing performance alongside looking to identify opportunities • Peak/holiday and seasonal planning, pushing boundaries to provide enhanced delivery propositions for customers • Able to identify cost related risk and where necessary implement corrective action What our client is searching for in their successful Carrier Manager: • Experience of UK, Europe (and ideally beyond) carrier market • Awareness of international carrier operations • Understanding of international e-fulfilment propositions and processes • Previous experience of and a preference of working with 3PL providers alongside Multiple Carriers • Creation of financial business cases • Experience of presenting to Senior Management level • Commercially aware/astute • Innovative and customer focused • Ability to adapt to rapid change • Ability to identify and implement process improvements • Team Player • Ability to communicate affectively at all levels • Project Management skills (desirable) • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills Office Hours: -9am to 5.30pm Mon to Fri (37.5 per week) Additional Benefits: -21 days holiday band holidays -Access to Perk Box -Free Parking -Fee hot and cold drinks This vacancy is advertised on behalf of gap personnel group (Quattro Recruitment Ltd & Quattro Healthcare Ltd) who operate as an Employment Business. gap personnel group is an Equal Opportunities Employer.
