POSITION: Superintendent CT Radiographer x2 part and full time available RATE: £46,974 - £52,193 per year LOCATION: London LENGTH OF CONTRACT: Permanent Job Description As Superintendent CT Radiographer you will facilitate the day to day management of all radiographers, technologists, and healthcare assistants in the department, their clinical effectiveness and professional development in line with department policies; ensuring that you maintain a high quality, cost effective imaging service with a particular emphasis on patient needs. You will also be responsible to the Imaging Services Manager and ultimately to the Director of Clinical Services. Duties & Responsibilities Be the site lead for all clinical queries relating to the CT service as well as be the site contact person for all queries from radiographers, consultants and other colleagues Provide professional leadership and efficiency in the day-to-day running of the department Co-ordinate dates for routine equipment servicing with the relevant service centre. File equipment services and engineer visits including fault reporting and managing the diaries as required. Manage the MEDITECH diary - manage the opening times of the scanner and ensure reserved slots are allocated appropriately for the year. Ensure lists are blocked for routine service days. Manage all HR processes related to managing a team Be responsible for ensuring the CT staff rota for each scanner is completed weekly by discussing with the other CT Superintendent to reflect the needs of the department and the needs of the staff. Manage and train radiographers to use the CT Scanners - help to keep the training framework current and ensure that competency documents are completed annually by the radiographers in your team. Oversee all aspects of safety to both patients and staff. Complete and review risk assessments for the CT Scanning together with the H&S rep. This will include reporting and investigating DATIX incidents. Skills & Experience Be a qualified radiographer HCPC registered Bachelors Degree (or equivalent) in Radiography Substantial CT Experience and must be able to conduct a wide range of CT scans upon a range of patient types IV cannulations qualification desirable.
