Overview
Brook Street are recruiting for a HR Advisor for our well established public sector client. This is an exciting opportunity primarily based at Newburn Business Park but will involve travel across the region. If successful your responsibilities will include: -Providing an effective and efficient HR advisory service to the client for all staff groups within the designated region. -Ensuring all information leaving the department is to quality standards and in line with the clients policies and procedures, employment legislation and HR established best practice. -Managing a varied and often complex caseload of employee relations issues. -Giving guidance to all staff on the application of national terms and conditions of employment, supporting and directing the HR administration team on the delivery of effective and efficient HR transactional service. -Reporting to the HR Manager for the region and will develop a close network with other HR Advisors to ensure a consistent approach across the organisation. -Expected to have close links with the HR Projects and Improvement team to develop and foster a culture of high performance working. -Develop policies and processes that reflect current and emerging best practice HR. -Required to lead training sessions for the managers on the effective delivery of HR policies, processes and other HR initiatives. -Analyse comprehensive workforce reports for HR colleagues to support and inform service priorities and collaboratively with managers to ensure that necessary interventions occur. The successful candidate will demonstrate: -Extensive experience of working in a generalist HR environment -Experience in Employee Relations -Highly developed working knowledge of maintaining confidentiality and implementing data protection -Ability to work autonomously and willingness to travel across the North region -Public sector experience would be advantageous This is a full time, temporary role covering maternity leave until 9th of July 2021. The salary for this role will be £30,401 and may be competitive depending on experience. The client is looking for the suitable candidate to start on 18th May.
