Overview
Our client is a leading retailer within the UK. It is essential you are a strong negotiator and have relevant buying experience. E.g. Confectionery, Biscuits, Chocolate, Sweets, Impulse etc Key areas of the role will include: Negotiation of supplier trading terms to meet financial targets Identifying new product development opportunities Development of own label product ranges Competitor Analysis Continually sourcing new suppliers Setting promotional strategy Working cross functionally with other key business units Applicants should have the following skills and attributes: Strong negotiation skills Food buying experience gained for a leading retailer / wholesaler Excellent supplier management skills Excellent relationship building skills Strong commercial/entrepreneurial attitude Ability to work in a fast paced trading environment This position offers excellent career long term career progression and training.
