Service Engineer (Worldwide) Altrincham Competitive Salary Paid overseas allowance All travel and expenses paid Car Pension Life Healthcare Service Engineer required for successful industry leading manufacturer of capital equipment offering comprehensive internal and external training for the right individual. The role will be suited to electrically biased engineers with machinery installation experience combined with maintenance and repair experience. It will suit candidates either apprentice trained or a graduate with a few years’ experience within the manufacturing industry. Electrically biased maintenance engineers with previous experience on the road are encouraged to apply. You will be completing site-based work from the Altrincham location carrying out commissioning and repair work on machinery, up to 75% of the role will involve installation, service and repair at client sites, a large proportion of which are overseas. You will need to have experience working with PLC/software driven machinery for the purpose of installation, commissioning and trouble shooting. The majority of the work and technical issues that arise onsite are electrical and software oriented so it is critical that the successful candidate is electrically qualified and competent with automated machinery. The company now serve a customer base of 126 different countries and provide their specialist equipment into various manufacturing sectors so you must be flexible to travel frequently and for mostly 1 week at a time overseas. During the first 12 months when at the Altrincham site there will substantial product training on the company’s product range. Initially you will shadow a service engineer on customer jobs to ensure you are fully up to speed on the equipment before operating independently. The company will also provide 3rd party training (Siemens & Bosch Rexroth) to the right candidate if required.
