IT Assitant - Milton Keynes We have the exciting opportunity to grow our IT team providing support and technical assistance across all areas of the company’s IT environment. This is a new role within the company created due to increased headcount and an increased number of projects running concurrently. The primary function will be to provide support to users across both companies (Winterhalter & Classeq), initially focusing on the field Service operations but quickly expanding to include all users within the business and support of the infrastructure in general (e.g. printers, hardware, servers, software). The role will be key to ensuring that adequate levels of support are maintained whilst the various projects are completed successfully, with the view to then enhancing the levels of service and support provided by IT in general. Main Accountabilities We provide support to around 240 users, primarily split across two different sites (Milton Keynes and Stafford), and with around 100 field-based staff with various job functions. You will undertake tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the various IT systems, assist on project work and eventually take ownership of certain functions within the IT infrastructure. Provide 1st and 2nd line support to users, taking ownership of problems through to resolution Troubleshoot hardware, Windows, Office and software problems Troubleshooting print problems Mobile Device Management Creating, editing and deletion of user accounts (both AD and software) Setup of new equipment using imaging and/or MDM software Software patching (e.g. WSUS, AV) and upgrades Arranging for the collection and repair of faulty equipment, issuing temporary units where required Other duties Preparation of reports using Excel from SAP Ad-hoc staff training Periodic checks to ensure compliance with PCI and/or security requirements Providing assistance to support projects where required Ad-hoc SAP checks to ensure efficient processing of data Essential skills, knowledge, and experience: 12 months recent experience within an IT support environment Windows 10 and MS Office Active Directory Hardware troubleshooting Good knowledge of Excel (incl. v-lookups) Excellent written and verbal communication Desirable skills, knowledge, and experience: Microsoft or other IT certification Knowledge of SAP ERP Windows Server 2016/2019 Office 365, Azure AD Basic understanding of networking MDT (Microsoft Deployment Toolkit) Aptitude & Attitude: Methodical and organised Able to manage time and work under pressure to tight deadlines Able to manage the demands of numerous tasks Team player Self-motivated Benefits include: Competitive Salary Contributory Pension Life assurance 22 days annual leave plus bank holidays Employee Assistance Programme Staff Perks & Savings Scheme Free Parking Free Tea and Coffee Dress Down Days Staff Events NO AGENCIES PLEASE
