Overview

A market leading provider of telecommunication services is recruiting for a Support Engineer to provide excellent first line support to customers based worldwide. The Support Engineer will be resolving issues related to the company software applications, telecommunication systems and network infrastructure remotely. Key tasks: Provide knowledgeable and accurate guidance in configuration and usage of telecom products. Ensure that root cause failure of systems or processes are documented, databases are updated with accurate information, and provide a technical 'audit trail’ of works completed in servicing of cases for use by Management and other engineers. Take personal ownership of designated customer base, acting as the Lead Engineer from commissioning through to day to day management of queues and cases working in conjunction with peers to ensure contractual SLAs are adhered to. Act as the technical lead for customer service reviews. Participate in managing Customer expectations; regularly communicating current situation status, analysing impact, devising workarounds, communicating next step plans - ensuring an excellent customer service experience. Adhere to all published procedures, policies and practices to ensure the timely submission of business and financial reporting. Develop, maintain and apply personal knowledge and skills within the product and technology markets. Represent the company with a professional demeanour at all times to customers and suppliers on the telephone and in person. We are looking for an enthusiastic candidate with excellent communication skills and fluency in a second language Spanish or Italian. Must have strong IT skills, with at least 1 years’ experience in the Telecoms Sector and understanding of - Voice switching (VoIP/ Mobile) - Signalling -SIP, SS7 - Data networks - Firewalls and IT security, networked system analysis, fault diagnosis and rectification capabilities. You will be required to work on a rotating shift pattern covering Monday- Friday 8am-11pm. To apply please email your CV in Word format.
