NEW COVENANT ANALYST OPPORTUNITY TO WORK FOR LEADING PENSION COMPANY IN CENTRAL LONDON Do you have an accounting background and interested in making a career in the unique field of covenant analysis? Our client is a specialist FTSE listed financial services company looking for someone from an accounting background to becoma a Covenant Analyst on an Associate or Senior Associate level. This role requires excellent analytic and communication skills, along with a drive to learn about and understand the financial health of businesses. The Covenant Analyst will analyse company accounts and financial statements, identify key trends, strengths and weaknesses. Using your technical skills to collect and collate the relevant data and analyse you will prepare the required summary tables and charts, and draft the report incorporating these along with the relevant explanations and commentary. You will also be liaising with clients and other advisers regarding data and information requests, as well as follow up queries seeking further clarifications and the main duties and responsibilities are summarised below:- Gather information from relevant sources (including requesting information from companies and obtaining publicly available information) as part of employer covenant projects. Use various data sources to obtain relevant information, such as DataStream, Companies House, or equivalent. Analyse financial statements of companies and other information received to assess the current financial position of employer(s), both on a qualitative and quantitative basis. Prepare draft reports and / or presentations of varying degrees of detail, setting out the results of the employer covenant analysis. Research various industries, sectors or companies, as required for client works and/or business development. Assist with a range of marketing related activities Assist with the preparation of briefing notes and other literature regarding the latest legislative developments and case studies relating to the employer covenant. Assist with the preparation of internal training courses regarding the employer covenant inc presentations regarding various topics relating to the employer covenant, to be presented externally for marketing purposes. Tendering for new business. If you have skills in the fields of accounting, finance and/or economics with a career desire to enhance accounting and /or finance knowledge further, for example by studying towards a professional qualification such as becoming a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) then we would like to hear from you. You will need a commitment to client service and assisting team members and the ability to work with other professionals such as actuaries and lawyers . No formal prior knowledge or experience relating to the employer covenant area is required, although any experience of working in a client focused environment or in a numerate discipline would be useful & prior experience of financial analysis or in accounting or would be an advantage as would a basic understanding of the UK pensions industry.
