Overview
We are working with a highly respected pension, actuarial and investment consulting organisation that is consistently growing and evolving due to new business and acquisition wins. They now have an unusual but progressive career opportunity within their Covenant Advisory Team within their London offices. This area provides advice to both trustees of defined benefit pension schemes and the companies which sponsor them regarding all aspects of the employer covenant. The services provided by the team cover the entire spectrum of covenant assessments in terms of the required level of detail and complexity, including in-depth reviews with bespoke analysis and modelling, as well as high level desktop assessments. As one of the Covenant Analysts, you will be able to further utilise your excellent analytic and communication skills, along with a drive to learn about and understand the financial health of businesses. Responsibilities will develop as you grow within the role and will include bit not be limited to: Gathering information from relevant sources (including requesting information from companies and obtaining publicly available information) as part of employer covenant projects. Using various data sources to obtain relevant information, such as DataStream, Companies House, or equivalent. Analysing financial statements of companies and other information received to assess the current financial position of employer(s), both on a qualitative and quantitative basis. Preparing draft reports and / or presentations of varying degrees of detail, setting out the results of the employer covenant analysis. Researching various industries, sectors or companies, as required for client works and/or business development. Assisting with a range of marketing related activities regarding the Covenant Advisory Team and the business more generally, Liaising with clients and other advisers regarding data and information requests, as well as following up queries seeking further clarifications. No formal prior knowledge or experience relating to the employer covenant area is required, although any experience of working in a client focused environment or in a numerate discipline would be useful, as would prior experience of financial analysis or in accounting However, it is essential that you possess strong numerical and analytical skills, are someone who is diligent, with exceptional attention to detail and a strong desire to learn and work within a dynamic team Offering an excellent remuneration and benefits package that includes being fully support towards a professional qualification such as becoming a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), further information is available on application,
