Overview
Junior UI Designer Northampton £18,000 - £25,000 dependant on experience We’re looking for a creative person to join our growing Digital UX & Design team. In this position you will be responsible for creating and designing user interfaces for websites and apps. You will use your design skills to create design concepts including sketches, user flows, storyboards, wireframes and prototypes. Key Responsibilities - Create and deliver pixel perfect UI screen designs - Work with existing design layout and element styles to create a consistent experience - Work closely with UX designers using wireframes, prototypes, style guides to effectively communicate your design ideas - Design for varying screen sizes, with understanding of element optimisation on smaller devices - Work closely with and support the Development team, continually communicating effectively your design - Work as part of a team and contribute to getting the job over the line - Ensure design decisions are based on the overall design roadmap as well as your own design thinking and fundamental principles (i.e. colour theory, visual weight, etc.) - Continually keep yourself and your design team updated with the latest changes in your industry's standards Experience Required Essentials: - Experience using tools such as Adobe XD / Adobe Photoshop - Creative ideas with a problem-solving mindset - Be open to receiving objective feedback and critique and improving upon it - Good understanding of digital and technology Desirable: - A keen interest to develop their UX approach (setting up tests, running analysis workshops, prioritising changes and prototyping) - Experience of working to accessibility standards, knowledge of WCAG accessibility guidelines - Experience creating wireframes, prototypes, storyboards, user flows, etc - Understanding of basic front-end languages: HTML5 and CSS3 You may have experience of the following: Junior UI Designer, Junior UX Designer, Junior Front End Designer, Graduate UI Designer, Graduate UX Designer, Graduate Front End Designer, UI Design, UX Design, Junioor Web Developer, User Interface, User Experience, etc. Ref: 92562
