Overview

Insurance Account Executive Were looking for an experienced Commercial Insurance Sales Executive to join an expanding insurance firm to provide expert knowledge and advice to new and existing business clients. Youll need to be a skilled relationship-builder and subject matter expert, able to deliver against new business targets and seek out opportunities to write new business and gain referrals. Joining a team of like-minded individuals with a focus on client care and a business plan for growth, the company offers excellent career prospects and a competitive 30,000 salary with 50K OTE. About the Job Working alongside the Sales Manager and as part of a busy commercial insurance team, the key duties of the role will include: Taking responsibility for your own client base, managing a database of prospect and converted leads Identifying new business opportunities, overcoming objections and closing sales Preparing and issuing quotes and supporting documentation Delivering sales presentations and client meetings Liaising with underwriters and insurers to negotiate and secure the best solutions for client needs Maintaining strong product knowledge and a self-disciplined approach to scheduling call backs, following up on leads and identifying referrals Person Specification Suitable candidates will need to passionate about insurance, professional and commercially-astute, with a resilient and self-managed approach. Youll have a good understanding of the commercial insurance field together with a proven track record of delivering against sales targets. Youll be a skilled relationship-builder, networker and presenter with a commitment to best practice and continuous improvement. As a minimum you will need to demonstrate: 1-3 years experience in a commercial insurance sales role, with detailed knowledge of ancillary products, renewal practices and insurer markets Ideally an existing network in the commercial insurance broking market i.e. awareness of key trends and influencers Cert II qualified would be an advantage but is not essential Ability to manage a busy workload, prioritising requests for support and proacting planning tasks and resources In return, the company is offering 27-30,000 starting salary with a realistic OTE of 40-50,000.
