The Role We're looking for a newly qualified Actuary to join our Reinsurance and Pricing team. Reporting to our Head of Reinsurance and Pricing you'll take a lead role in the development and maintenance of the Groups technical pricing framework to ensure it is applied consistently throughout. Based from our central London office on a permanent basis you will also look to optimise the Groups risk management and capital efficiency by exploring cost-effective reinsurance arrangements. For the first 12 months of this role you will be covering maternity leave within the Reinsurance and Pricing team. Following the completion of the maternity cover you will then have the opportunity to rotate into other areas of the Actuarial team, areas which include; Longevity, Capital Management and Asset Liability, Reporting and Analysis, Actuarial Systems or Projects and Planning. You will * Support the Head of Reinsurance & Pricing in documenting and executing reinsurance arrangements to support business development, manage risk and optimise capital efficiency. * Develop and maintain tools and models to evaluate the attractiveness and effectiveness of existing and potential reinsurance arrangements. * Perform regular analyses of the costs and benefits of the Group's reinsurance arrangements. * Ensure data exchanged with reinsurers is accurate, timely and secure. * Ensure reinsurance treaty terms are well understood and accurately reflected in pricing, administration and valuation calculations and reports. * Maintain close relationships with related departments to ensure a consistent understanding of financial metrics and impacts across pricing, reinsurance, valuation and capital management. * Support the development and maintenance of the data, processes and systems used by the Reinsurance & Pricing team, including the appropriate quality assurance, controls and documentation. * Support the Head of Reinsurance & Pricing to deliver pricing projects and BAU activity, and to support wider company projects, as required. * Liaising with stakeholders to communicate outcomes and insights, external contacts to answer queries and communicate changes and colleagues to answer reinsurance queries, help implement initiatives and support BAU. You a re * A Qualified Actuary (FIA, FFA or equivalent) with; * Experience in documenting/reviewing reinsurance arrangements and analysing reinsurance treaty contracts or other contractual arrangements. * Life Insurance, Pensions or a Treaty background.
