Good academic credentials and post-qualification experience In-house legal experience is preferred (directly, or as a secondee) but is not essential Strong commercial understanding, and excellent interpersonal skills Desire to provide excellent client service and an ability to build strong working relationships with stakeholders. We are actively recruiting for qualified Financial Services lawyers within the retail banking/payments sector. Responsibilities may include: Providing practical in-house legal advice and support on a wide range of finance transactions Discussing financial requirements with clients and advising clients o legal regulatory and compliance issues across a broad range of areas including investment management, wealth management, private banking, investment funds, pension funds, mutual funds, private equity and retail banking Drafting, negotiating and reviewing financial documents, including loan facility agreements, security documentation and other ancillary documents Advising on the impact and implementation of legal and regulatory changes within banking and drafting and maintaining internal policies to ensure total compliance Working proactively with stakeholders to ensure that legal input is obtained on all relevant projects and matters We understand that many legal professionals have chosen to adopt the consultancy model, and we are happy to discuss this option with you.
