Make your HR expertise go further. For the teams in our Children’s Services & Adult Social Care Departments to give their very best, managers need solid HR support behind the scenes. As a Strategic HR Business Partner, you’ll provide a professional HR service with a strategic perspective, but also hands-on daily advice from time to time. With your help, our communities will have outstanding teams to support them every day. This is a chance to provide a strategic People & Talent service across vital departments. Every day, you’ll work with managers, helping to improve people management and in turn, service delivery. Alongside performance management, you’ll give high level advice on workforce planning and organisational design, reward & recognition, health & wellbeing, equality, diversity & inclusion & complex employment matters. This varied role will see you tackling coaching, delivering training and supporting key initiatives such as TUPE and cultural change. You’ll also work with trade unions and professional associations, fostering good employee relations. With the chance to participate in cross-service projects and enhance your own development, you’ll grow your skills and experience within our supportive team. An experienced professional, you’ll bring solid HR expertise. Ideally, you’ve worked in a similar role, supporting a Children’s & Adults’ Directorate. However, it’s more important that you can work on both a strategic and operational level, dealing with different challenges every day. Knowledge of workforce planning is key, along with strong communication skills.
