SENIOR TRANSACTIONS MANAGER / CITY CENTRE / £55,000-£58,000 / GLOBAL SHARED SERVICE / EXCELLENT DEVELOPMENT & BENEFITS A global service company, with luxury offices based in Manchester City Centre, are looking to recruit a skilled Senior Payments Manager on a permanent basis. A recent internal promotion has led to the creation of this new role. The purpose of the role will be to link together five key processes including Purchase to Pay, Travel & Expenses, Cashiering, Bank Reconciliations and Payments, whilst promoting best practice. This is a great opportunity to become a key member of the Leadership Team for an award winning and market leading business. Reporting into the Global Shared Services Manager, the duties will include: Act as a key contact for the firm regarding any Payment Services, Cashiering & Bank Rec matters Oversee and lead the annual audit and ensure queries are dealt with on a prompt basis for the annual financial audit To lead and manage the development and effectiveness of the all the Team Leaders To agree and monitor objectives for direct reports taking appropriate action to ensure their successful achievement ensuring these objectives are informed by and support the wider finance and business strategy To lead and direct process teams providing specified accounting and financial transaction processing and other services across the business Identify performance improvement opportunities across the key areas To run efficient payment processes, in line with agreed payment terms P2P transformation programme, implementation of a new P2P system Audit and compliance of claims against the Travel & Expense policy Management of disbursements and other office payments & expenses Ensure timely recording of financial transactions to matters to ensure data and reporting is accurate Maintain a well organised, adequately resourced Cashiering function to ensure all cashiering activities are carried out across locations in a timely and efficient manner Maintain a well organised, adequately resourced Bank Rec function to ensure all activities are carried out across locations in a timely and efficient manner and in full compliance with the firm's policies The ideal candidate will have similar experience from within a high performing and fast paced shared service environment. A personable man-manager with strong leadership and development skills. Proven experience of managing change and improving processes would be advantageous.
