Overview
Data Engineer, Central London, Circa £60-80k 5% cash or pension 2% pension I’m currently working with a consultancy, looking for Data Engineers to work in London. Why join? - More innovative than many other consultancies. - High investment into developing their employees’ career and skills. - Unlike other consultancies, the work will only be based in the London area. - This is a new role, which will allow the successful candidate to shape the Data Engineering wing of the business. - Work with some of The UK’s biggest brands. Job description: The role varies depending on the client. But broadly the role will involve building and implementing data pipelines using the latest technologies. Skills Required: - Python - Experience in ETL, Data Warehousing and processing large sets of unstructured, semi-structured and structured data. - Experience ingesting Real Time data from numerous sources. - Happy to work in various environments, have strong communication skills. Skills desired: - Scala/Java - Spark experience - Hadoop experience (Hive/Impala, HBase, HDFS, YARN, MapReduce) - NoSQL storage experience (Hbase or Cassandra) - Stream processing (Kafka or Storm) - AWS - SQL - Elk stack experience Please do get in touch if you would be interested in discussing this role or having a confidential chat about your career.
