Overview

Exciting new Project Assistant role on a 12 months FTC to start immediately. This location is South Birmingham. Client Details My client is a global property firm with offices worldwide looking for a Project Assistant in their Birmingham office. Description Assist the Project Manager in the overall implementation of the project; Assist the Project Manager in overseeing the activities of the consultants and field coordinators; Assist the Project Manager in coordinating the implementation of the project with the other partner agencies, LGUs and CSOs; Assist the Project Manager in convening and reporting periodically on the status of the project to the Project Board; Assist the Project Manager in monitoring the progress of the project; Assist the Project Manager in monitoring of the procurement of equipment needed for training, mapping and monitoring; Assist the Project Manager in the conduct of competency assessment of institutional stakeholders on SLM; Assist the Project Manager in the establishment of networking system among SLM agencies and practitioners; Assist the Project Manager in the preparation of the M&E system for SLM project implementation and impact/benefit assessment; Assist the Project Manager in the preparation of the project completion report; Perform other duties of similar nature assigned by the National Project Director, SLM Project Focal Person and Project Manager Profile Must be immediately available. Must have previous project experience. Must have previous property experience or come from a property background. Must be self-sufficient and able to think on their feet. Must be able to use their own initiative. Prince 2 certificate is desirable but not essential. Ability to work on own initiative to support the project team. Engages collaboratively, working in a calm, professional manner when dealing with all stakeholders, both internal and external. Excellent and proven interpersonal skills with a friendly and approachable personality Proactive and flexible with a willingness to undertake new tasks readily. Open, proactive and confident approach to work making decisions independently on a daily basis Excellent communication skills (written and oral) with the ability to work as part of a team. Able to foresee potential issues, problem solve and get buy-in from colleagues to get solutions quickly and effectively. Job Offer £25,000 salary and free parking. Full time hours weekdays.
