Overview
We are searching for a talented Pastry chef to join the region’s leading events company. The Venue is in York and our client is at the forefront of events catering, covering multiple locations all of the U.K and in some cases overseas. We are looking for a talented Pastry chef to join their brigade at the York Venue to further drive the business and reputation on the national level. Key responsibilities In collaboration with the Head Chef and the team you will ensure consistency of producing bespoke menus, dishes as per our customer needs Supervise the preparation and service of assigned functions & hospitality to an accepted level Along with the team assist with menu planning, stock rotation and work to deliver the GP set for the site Along with the team you will be asked to supervise, train, manage, organize & motivate junior chefs & kitchen porters Along with the team you will be responsible to keep in line with menu specifications for quality, cost, allergen purposes You are responsible for maintaining good food hygiene practices and due diligence as designated by legislation and the companies’ specification to include all HACCP recording and documentation Candidate specification · Ideally you will have experience in multi outlet catering · Can work in a fast-paced environment · Have experience within hotels/outside catering or similar environment · Be able to lead and motivate the junior team · Be able to commit to sharing your knowledge and develop other members of the team · Demonstrate and possess strong management skills · Demonstrate a sense of urgency with a can-do attitude at all times.
