Overview

Commis/Demi Chef de Partie- North Oxfordshire (Live in) I am looking to recruit either a Commis Chef, straight out of College,or someone with around 12 months experience that is ready for their first Demi Chef de Partie role. The opportunity is based at a small, privately owned hotel based in a busy village South of Banbury in Oxfordshire. The property sits right at the heart of the village and is a popular visit not only for locals but visitors to Blenheim Palace, Bicester village and the Cotswold's. Working in a busy little kitchen, you will work in a team of 4 producing restaurant quality British cuisine, using fresh and seasonal produce. Their current Head Chef has worked at a 2 & 3AA Rosette level in the past, so though the menu is not pretentious, their are some really good twists to the menu and the effort that goes into what they do really stands out on the plate. We are looking for either a Commis or Demi Chef de Partie that can hold their own on a section and can take direction. The Head Chef likes to really offer junior members of staff the opportunity to learn, so you will get involved with specials and will be given the right amount of time to get your skillet up to scratch. Salary being offered is £19-£22K depending on experience, plus around £1500 a year in tips.
