Overview
The Assistant Accountant will assist the Finance Manager with all accounting related tasks and deputising in his absence. Client Details My client is a renowned local business based on the outskirts of Oxford. They operate in the Utilities sector and are looking for an Assistant Accountant to join their small finance function on a temporary basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for the transactional accounts, journals and accruals. Description The Assistant Accountant will be responsible for: Profit and loss, and balance sheet reports Posting monthly journals Checking accruals, prepayments and bank accounts for sign off by Finance Manager Maintain the fixed asset register Bank reconciliations Weekly cash projections Profile The successful candidate will: Be AAT Qualified Have previous experience in a similar role Strong background in double entry bookkeeping or ledger work Strong Excel skills Be reliable and hardworking with a professional work ethic Have excellent communication skills Job Offer Parking on site Competitive salary Generous benefits package
