Overview
BI Developer - SQL, SSIS, SSAS, T-SQL, MDX. Based in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire my client has anew requirement for an BI/SQL Developer with tech skills in SSIS, SSAS, T-SQL, MDX with some understanding/knowledge of Java technologies such as J2EE, Servlet and JSP. You must be willing to learn new technical skills, flexible to turn your hand to other duties and keen to work on different projects. Salary: £45k-£55k Bonus Excellent Pension Good Benefits You will be responsible for applying critical analytical skills to my clients Information Systems by interpreting business requirements, providing specifications & implementation. This will include interface custom develop applications in highly complex environment, designing robust & strategically aligned enterprise-level solutions for large scope & complex functionalities. You must have: SQL Server development: T-SQL, SSIS, SSAS, MDX. OLTP/OLAP data modelisation. Some knowledge and understanding of Java development: J2EE, Servlet, JSP. Ability to interpret and analyse data & produce clear, concise reports for is across the company. Ability to simplify complex data systems. Role involves: Proposing & delivering solutions to meet the needs of colleagues in relation to their business processes \ operations, by designing application functionalities to support users’ needs. Define business requirements in a functional specification & align these with the capabilities of the systems; and implement said requirements \ models \ specifications using provided application framework and tools. Identify, develop & implement improvements to system capability, working with the business and systems teams to identify solutions. Configure & test potential solutions, engaging the business to ensure the best outcome. Implement agreed changes with the business, ensuring that maximum benefit is obtained across the group. Support business process owners through the change process, ensuring education and training completed to deliver successful projects. Write system documentation for developments. Maintain existing developments, identifying bugs, fixing them & updating system documentation. Work in team with other developers & increase their knowledge in framework related technologies.
