Overview
Do you have management experience within the voluntary, health or social care sectors and are looking for your next challenge? Our client, is a voluntary organisation, registered charity and network partner of the Carers Trust, supporting informal carers countywide. They are looking to appoint a Social Prescribing Service Manager based in Wellingborough. This position is 25 hours per week, with a salary of £20,267 PA (£29,995 FTE). Social prescribing empowers people to take control of their health and wellbeing through referral to ‘link workers’ who give time, focus on ‘what matters to me,’ take a holistic approach to an individual’s health and wellbeing and connect people to diverse community groups and statutory services for practical and emotional support. You will lead our team of two full time Social Prescribing Link workers as well as Peer Supporters and Volunteers. They have been successful in a recent tender to deliver Social Prescribing within Wellingborough so you will be able to work strategically on a countywide level and operationally to meet contractual targets. You will have management experience within the voluntary, health or social care sectors and an understanding of social prescribing.
