Our Specialist Support Division are looking to recruit an experienced Support Manager for a new supported living service in Sheffield This exciting opportunity will be supporting two individuals who have complex and challenging needs associated with mild learning disabilities, mental health conditions and forensic backgrounds, including Ministry of Justice conditions, to achieve new things and make huge positive changes to their lives. You will be responsible for directly line managing a team leader and a team of support workers, by providing regular supervisions, appraisals and inductions, you will also be required to achieve quality and compliance within the services. This will include regular finance audits, updating the people supported document, risk assessments and completing person centered plans. The ability to plan and prioritise your workload is essential. There is also the opportunity to develop and provide more services in the area based on excellent support and high quality person centred achievements and outcomes. You will be required to become an instructor for ProAct Scip-r UK and also to become the Registered Manager for the location with CQC, and take great pride in ensuring that your services exceed the standards required and meet all CQC regulatory requirements. Our comprehensive Management Development Programme – LEAD (Lead, Engage, Aspire & Develop) will strengthen all of the skills you need to excel within your role and positively influence your team. To be successful in this role you will be a motivated and hardworking manager (or held a previous managerial or supervisory role) within the social care sector and have significant knowledge and skills in supporting people who have complex mental health conditions such borderline Personality disorder, schizoaffective disorder and significant impairment of behaviour. You will have a sound knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS), although training will be provided. Highly organised and self-driven you will be able to work flexibly and hold a full UK driving licence, as you may need to provide on-call support and assistance when required. You will be used to multi-agency working. You will have previous experience of successfully managing and leading a team, effectively motivating them to ensure and maintain delivery of a high quality support service. Able to support teams to develop and work in a consistent way, you will support them to ensure they are confident and skilled through on the job development, feedback through regular one to ones, formal training and coaching. You will also provide regular supervisions, appraisals and inductions. You will be required to achieve quality and compliance within the services. Underpinning all of the above will be your knowledge of the sector and your values. You’ll have completed, or be willing to work towards a Health and Social Care Diploma, Level 5 qualification.
