Senior Bioinformatician/Bioinformatician Location: Cambridge Salary: Competitive A leading clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company developing a deep pipeline of novel antibody-based therapies in a broad range of indication are looking for a Bioinformatician to join their team. The Company generates its product candidates using its proprietary, and bespoke platforms. You will work on a variety of projects with Scientists across the company. In parallel to this supporting role, you will also have the opportunity to devise your own projects and influence the development of the companys technology strategy moving forwards. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated to stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and Scientific advances and will enjoy working in cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities: Contributing to the development of the bespoke antibody sequence analysis software Analysing complex datasets from a range of technologies and sample types Developing and deploying software and analysis tools for internal use Data curation and management Supporting patent filings Teaching and mentoring junior colleagues Presenting results at internal and external company meetings Key Requirements: Essential PhD or equivalent experience in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or similar discipline Experience with and understanding of tools used for NGS data analysis Proficiency in the use of R and Python Proficiency in the use of Linux and bash scripting Proficiency in the use of relational databases Ability to contribute independently and collaboratively and to excel in a fast-paced environment Strong track-record of scientific achievement Preferred Experience within the biotech industry Knowledge of statistics Knowledge of immunology Experience with the Genedata Biologics LIMS system Proficiency in the use of Docker Proficiency in the use of KNIME Proficiency in the use of Java This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/89839691
