Site Reliability Engineer - Up to £85k - Investment Management Platforms Avanti Recruitment is currently looking for a Site Reliability Engineer (SQL, Python and GIT) to join an Investment Management company in West London. They are looking for a Site Reliability Engineer who will be responsible for the Application Deployment and Application Support of their front office, middle office and market data applications as part of their Engineering team. This will include planning and deploying software releases, troubleshooting any incidents, monitoring systems and responding to alerts. This Service Engineer role will appeal to bright Engineers with a strong software background who love working with technology and have the analytical skills to improve processes and troubleshoot issues. They have a highly educated team with over 50 people with PhDs and they follow a scientific approach to investment and develop advanced technologies to outperform the market. You will be working alongside a team of highly skilled engineers and designers who are passionate about technology. They want you to be a key member of the team and contribute to the evolution of their technical processes. They are passionate about helping their Service Engineers grow their skills and experience and you will be given all the training necessary to ensure you develop a deep understanding of their technology stack. They have a relaxed working environment and unlike a lot of financial organisations they don’t have a strict dress code. To be considered you are likely to have at least a 2.1 degree in Computer Science from a recognised University and proven technical experience in a Site Reliability or Application Support role with SQL, Python and GIT for supporting, deploying and automating systems. Essential Skills and Experience: Programming skills in SQL, Python and GIT Planning and deploying software releases Trouble shooting incidents, Monitoring systems and responding to alerts (Nagios and JIRA) Desirable Skills and Experience: Deploying Applications in a Cloud environment (AWS or Azure) Windows and Unix Servers Data Transformation workflows and tools - ideally Apache Airflow C# programming If you would be interested in join this forward thinking and successful organisation please apply now for immediate consideration.
