Overview
Spencer Clarke Group are working closely alongside Local Authority to provide them with Personal Advisor’s – Leaving Care on a 3-6 month contract which is likely to be extended into a long-term contract. This role is 36 hours per week and offers a pay rate of £15.00 - £20.00 per hour . This may be negotiable dependent on your experience. As a successful Personal Advisor’s – Leaving Care, you will: To act as Personal Advisor for young people leaving care (both indigenous and who are or were Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children) to provide support, advice and assistance to enable young people to maximise education, training, work and accommodation opportunities for young people between ages 18 and 25. To provide individual personal support and advocacy to young people based on assessment of their learning and personal development needs and the negotiation and agreement of learning and personal development plans THIS ROLES WILL ALLOW FOR REMOTE WORKING (WORKING FROM HOME) To be considered for this position, you will have the following knowledge/experience: a) Experience: Experience of working in a leaving care team for a local authority Experience of writing and assessing pathway plans Experience of providing guidance, advice and support in respect of the education, training, career, housing and personal development opportunities available to the individual Experience of working with children and families Experience of using the Mosaic system b) Qualifications: Youth Work Practice certificate or childcare qualification i.e. NVQ Level 3, Access to Social Care NVQ or educated to A Level standard or equivalent experience.
