Overview
Our client, a successful IT organisation based in Gateshead, are looking for a dedicated IT Support Engineer to join their team. As IT Support Engineer, you will work with a wide range of small and large customers, working on a variety of IT projects on a day to day basis. Skills & Experience: Experience using Microsoft Windows server & client operating systems. Understanding of Microsoft Exchange, Office 365 and Microsoft Office. General networking experience. Experience with mobile access to business email e.g. Microsoft Exchange, for iPhone, Android etc. Knowledge of anti-virus / anti-spyware / anti-spam technologies. Experience of the following would be beneficial: telephony including Voice-over-IP (VoIP), firewall technology, local and cloud backup technologies, DNS/DHCP/TCP/IP, switches, VLANS, wi-fi technology, remote desktop services and cloud services. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Role & Responsibilities: Support a wide range of IT and different customers (both large and small). Work from both the office and when necessary on customer sites. Work on IT projects for customers. Assist with the management, upkeep and enhancement of internal company systems. Assist in the production of quotations for IT projects. Continually enhance your knowledge of all relevant IT systems in use. Be flexible and adaptable to change.
