Support Worker needed for Cornwall Council based in Camborne, £10 ltd an hour Start Date- ASAP Contract End date- 1 month initially Hours per week - 32.5 hours per week Pay rate - £10 ltd an hour Team - Adult's with learning disabilities Location - Camborne Description Working alongside other staff members to follow personal support plans which enable and empower individuals to make informed choices about the way they spend their day. To ensure personal care needs met are met and outcomes worked towards being achieved. To seek guidance from senior staff members as required To work within the needs assessment, and contribute to the care plan and person centred plan to enable and empower individuals to make informed choices and achieve personal goals To work independently or as part of a staff team to support individuals in a way which respects their dignity, promotes independence and self-confidence, by providing practical support and encouraging social inclusion. What is required? Level 2 or above (or equivalent) e.g. NVQ or Diploma in Health and Social Care or Promoting Independence Basic IT skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office Satisfactory travel mobility in order to fulfil the obligations of the role. You will be required to provide a suitable form of transport for those journeys where an alternative form of transport is unavailable or impracticable.
