Overview
Your new company Working for a Not-for-Profit organisation in London Bridge. This is a medium sized organisation, whereby the culture is extremely collaborative and friendly. Bright and modern open plan offices in a central London location, close to London Bridge tube station. Offices are all open plan and both hot desking and agile working is encouraged, with the opportunity to work from home one day per week. Your new role A one year Fixed Term Contract HR Assistant opportunity, maternity cover. Reporting to the HR Director, this is an invaluable opportunity to build upon your existing experience and develop into a fully flourished HR Assistant, whilst gaining the support of an established and highly credible HR Director. Providing a full HR support service to the HR Director, you will provide guidance and advice to line managers and staff on all HR related matters, in line with the organisations HR policies and procedures. You will monitor and update the People HR system on a regular basis, including sickness and holiday record keeping. It will be your responsibility to administer all benefits, including the pension scheme and private medical insurance. Using People HR, you will be required to produce monthly departmental HR reports on a number of themes surrounding employee data. There is also the opportunity for you to present in senior management and board meetings, on such data. You will be the main point of contact across the organisation for recruitment and you will support hiring managers to understand their vacancies, scope the opportunity and then prepare job profiles and draft adverts. You will coordinate the end to end recruitment process, including managing applications, shortlisting, arranging interviews, interviewing candidates, making offers, drafting contracts and undertaking pre-employment checks and organising the onboarding process. You will also be the lead in sourcing temporary staff, as and when the requirement presents itself. Finally, and incredibly importantly, is the preparation and processing of the monthly payroll. You will be responsible for the collation, processing and verification of payroll data on a monthly basis, ensuring you work with attention to detail, accuracy and in a timely manner. You will also be responsible for processing expenses quarterly and preparation of annual P11D return. What you'll need to succeed Candidates looking to apply will have worked at HR Administrator level or HR Assistant level previously and will have a positive, flexible and approachable approach to their work, with the ability to demonstrate initiative. You will be either Level 3 or Level 5 CIPD qualified (or equivalent) and be able to demonstrate your previous experience working with a HR system. It is imperative that you are professional, trustworthy and understand the importance of confidentiality when it comes to HR data. The salary for the one year contract is £28,000 and there is the opportunity to earn an additional bonus of £1,000.
