Overview
Your New Role: Nigel Wright are delighted to be supporting a successful business within the public sector who are looking for a Finance Business Partner to join their established team. Within the post, you will need to provide strong financial support including the provision of monthly management accounts, budget support and financial analysis. If you are looking for a new challenge and committed to promoting the ethos of the company, then this could be the role for you. Duties & Responsibilities: Ensure there is effective budgetary control, taking full responsibility for production of monthly management accounts, reviewing variances and challenging budget holders. Support the Lead Finance Business Partner in the development of routine budgets and re-forecasts. Support in the production of financial analysis. Ensure all relevant control accounts are regularly reconciled. Ensure there is appropriate first line support and training to service budget holders in the production of annual budgets and re-forecasts. Prepare an overall analysis of the proposed budget for review. Provide financial support to operational management team. Identify and highlight key risks and contribute to the development of controls and action to mitigate against the risks. As the ideal candidate you will: Be qualified to AAT or be qualified by significant experience. Be working towards or willing to work towards a professional qualification. Have experience of providing management accounts, other financial analysis and commentary to inform business decision making. Have experience of budgeting, project planning and tendering for existing or new contracts. Have an analytical mind with excellent numeracy skills. Have attention to detail and excellent Excel skills. Be able to work under pressure and to deadlines. Have excellent communication skills.
