Finance Analyst -Leading Energy Organisation - 6 months contract - c£164 day rate (Inside IR35) - Durham We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Data Analyst with Financial Project/ Accountancy experience to join a leading UK Energy Organisation based in Durham. There is potentially opportunities to work from home - one day per week. Key Responsibilities: You will be working within the UK Finance Team, alongside the Financial Modeller to support the delivery of the Finance Team's objectives. Responsible for any improvements, maintenance and ownership of bespoke reporting and budgeting model in Microsoft Excel. Gathering data and production of cost centre reports using SAP and Excel. Point of contact for BOFC (parent's consolidation software) queries and working to improve and streamline input into this software. Local support to Finance team on any queries for Excel, SAP, IT Requests, other Finance systems, and General IT support as able. Assisting to challenge and provide suggestions for improvements to existing Finance processes with the aim of simplifying and streamlining current practices. Finding the best fit solutions to issues and promoting One Team attitude. Assisting with developing a robust document management process in Finance and updating online resources with finalized process documents. Ideal skill set required: Strong Data Analytical skills - Financial project/ Accountancy knowledge VBA, Visual basic, PowerBI, SAP and Advanced Excel skills AAT / part qualified accountant is desirable Able to understand complex models and processes, you will be comfortable fitting in within a team dynamic and dealing with queries thoroughly and patiently. Experience of taking accounts to trial balance and familiar with management accounts (Full P&L, balance sheet & cash flow) is desirable Experience of designing and implementing excel solutions from a set of requirements Comfortable with learning new systems Experience of working within a team/office environment Evidence of working autonomously / can manage own workload Strong numerical, attention to detail and analytical skills Committed to continuous improvement and development of skills and knowledge Any experience of implementing an analytics solution would be advantageous.
