Overview

Purpose of the Role: Our client, a specialist in precision engineering are seeking an experienced Senior HR Advisor to work on a temp to permanent contract, to provide a full range of HR support to the department with day to day issues. As the Senior HR Advisor your duties will be: Oversee the apprenticeship scheme and work experience talent pipeline. Induction design, organisation and delivery. Optimise employee relations and engagement, utilising available media to ensure communications are timely and effective. Coach and support supervisors and managers in effective people management practices. Ensure effective and proactive absence management, with effective deployment of occupational health services. Oversee Time & Attendance systems. Provide monthly input data to Payroll Shared Services, check outputs and be the local point of contact for Payroll matters. Recruitment need appraisal, approval, management support and administration. Provide KPI and ad hoc data reportage and analysis. Provide general support to the Senior HR Manager to ensure that the high quality, credible HR service is consistently delivered to meet business requirements. Ensure that the HR Information Systems are current and accurate, including scanning hard copy documents and digital filing. Capable of full ER case management. The successful Senior HR Advisor will have the following skills and experience: Educated to degree level, ideally in HR or a related business subject, with continuing professional development via CIPD full membership. Manufacturing and/or Engineering industry experience. Multiple HRIS applications experience. Ideally have experience dealing with unionised departments. Resilient, professional & with high integrity. Excellent knowledge of employment law and its practical application. Capable of progressing to HR Manager level in time. Full driving licence with access to own vehicle for business use.
