Overview

A Global Automotive technology company (HQ in Germany) is currently recruiting a Junior Business Controller undertheir global "executive" assignment programme. Type: Permanent, full-time Location: Various locations - The global "executive" assignment programme is structured so that participants will get a broad understanding of the accounting and financial control activities of the company’s various business units by directly working in 3 different locations. This is a 3-5-year programme designed to give the talented individual the best training before transferring to one of their main offices in Japan (Chubu area). The company will provide a bespoke training programme for candidates who could potentially become core management staff. 3 different locations will be selected from the following branches: Japan (Chubu area) Korea China Canada Salary: €4,000-€4,500 per month (¥5-7million Japanese yen per year) depending on experience Start: ASAP Visa and Transferring Cost: The company can provide visa/transferring support for the right candidate Main responsibilities Help with documentation and execution of policies and procedures to achieve the task Support their finance staff, who run the general ledger, cost accounting, and reporting functions. Compliance with IFRS and local GAAP, tax regulations and treasury requirements must be ensured Timely and effectively support the preparation of their board, steering committee meetings and shareholder discussions Support planning and management of their controlling activities with a pragmatic and hands on attitude Execute corrective actions and track ideas for cost containment as guided by the supervisor and their Controller Required profile University degree / ideally in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or equivalent Experience using SAP system (or strong knowledge) Knowledge of IFRS and US-GAAP, Japanese GAAP, which influences accounting and reporting for the division Language skills: strong English skills required; second language in Japanese preferred ; other languages considered a plus such as Korean, Chinese and German Current and commanding knowledge in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, investment calculations, contract administrations, and analysis of various business strategies developing various scenarios to understand the opportunities -strategically and tactically in support of the business decisions. Project management skills This position requires you have more than 3 years’ experience in the finance and accounting field with an internationally operating company Work experience within a multi-cultural environment Effectively working and inspire teams within diverse cultures and locations A high degree of communication skill, both oral and written Strong analytical and business skills.
