Overview
We have a role for a Support/ Care Worker. working night shift 7.30pm-8am but training will be on day shift You will need to be flexible for day & night shifts to cover absence and holidays Training will take place on a day shift 7.30am-8pm You will need to be prepared to apply and pay for a DBS once you have completed your trial shifts. The place of work is very relaxed and like Home from Home. This is a beautiful place to work and many staff have worked here for 10 years The right candidates will have excellent people skills and lots of patience. You will be encouraged to bring your own ideas and to be flexible within the role. No experience is necessary as full training will be given If successful after initial trial shifts you will need to pay for a DBS £65 before starting the role on a permanent basis Ideally you will be able to work 5 or 6 shifts across a 2 week rota. 7.30pm-8am Sharing ideas and being creative with the residents is important in stimulating them, so you are encouraged to come up with ideas of activities you can do with them, also talking with them over a cup of tea and learning about their life and family's is important in building the trust and relationship with them. The home has several pets including 2 dogs, Rabbits ,Cats, Tortoises and fish. The residents are encouraged to lead a normal lifestyle and the lay out is a home from home style. Due to the location you will need your own transport.
