Technical Project Manager - Enterprise-scale Software Delivery

Modis ,
Nottingham, Nottinghamshire
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £50,000 per annum

Overview

Are you a battle-scarred Project Manager with a reputation for delivering technically complex, high-level software delivery programmes for large, blue chip organisations? Are you looking for a new challenge where you will be given the opportunity to deliver technically innovative, best-in-class solutions for a large, reputable business who are true innovators within their sector? Working alongside a prestigious organisation based in the heart of Nottingham City Centre, I'm looking for the very best Technical Project Managers to deliver large scale software delivery transformation programmes across an incredibly exciting and varied portfolio. It goes without saying that you'll be absolutely at the top of your game - the environment here is fast paced and technically complex requirements can often change at a moments notice, so its important that this is the type of environment that you'll thrive in. It's also key that you have a proven track record for high-level software delivery for other large organisations - I'm only looking to speak to people who have worked in Blue Chips, or FTSE100 environments. You'll be a Technical Project Manager from a software project delivery background only - this is absolutely key as the scope of the delivery covers full end-to-end software life cycle definition, so this role will not suit somebody from an Infrastructure or Business Transformation delivery background. You'll bring confidence, charisma and cast iron integrity. You'll be tenacious, technically curious and, importantly, you'll instantly be able to build relationships and gain the trust of your tech teams, key stakeholders and senior business management. Vision is key. You'll be someone who can drive the delivery of new products and initiatives within the business and implement large scale changes to existing products and essentially see the bigger picture. Strong Risk Management is also a must - you'll absolutely need to have the ability to identify and resolve potential program risk risks. It's also key that you are an advocate of Agile ways of working and Waterfall knowledge wouldn't go a miss. As Project Manager you'll join an established team and rub shoulders with a bunch of incredibly talented PMs working on multiple projects of medium size/complexity, supported by the firms Senior Project Managers. The typical size of projects will be 6-12 months duration and involve up to 10 FTEs across multiple locations. This really is a great chance to join a business who are growing exponentially on a national and global-scale and show no signs of slowing down. In return you will receive anything between £50,000-£60,000 base salary plus 10% bonus, pension scheme, flexible working and much more Modis International Ltd acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers in the UK.
