Overview

MARINE TECHNICIAN Lloyd's Broker in the City are seeking a Marine Technician to deal with all lines of Marine business on an International basis. Duties of the role will include; Producing documentation including cover notes, debit notes, slips, endorsements, letters and correspondence, premium and claims statistics Setting up files ensuring all relevant documentation included Checking slips for inconsistencies Chasing and monitoring premiums, including warranties, under terms of trade through liaison with Finance team and Clients Dealing with queries from Brokers and clients and escalating where appropriate to ensure timely resolution • Acting as point of contact for specific accounts, as and when required Ideally you will have; Knowledge and understanding of the general insurance market and principles Knowledge and understanding of Worldwide Marine insurance business and markets Knowledge and understanding of insurance accounting systems including clients, underwriters, third party and brokerage accounts Understanding of market structure, practices, processes and procedures including systems and relevant documentation Knowledge and understanding of policy forms, profit commissions, adjustments, taxes, binding authorities and LMP slips
