CMM & Metrology Engineer Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire £40,000 Per Annum Permanent Position Black Cat Recruitment are currently working with a large manufacturing company within the Automotive sector based near Milton Keynes. Due to significant investment in personnel, processes and plant in 2020, there are opportunities for an experienced, driven and committed CMM & Metrology Engineer to join their team on a Permanent contract. Experience required: Previous experience of working in a Metrology Engineering role within the Automotive industry is essential Previous experience of programming and running CMM and 3D scanning equipment is essential (such as FARO or ROMER ARM etc.) An HND, HNC, Bachelors Degree, NVQ or City & Guilds qualification in Quality or Automotive Engineering is preferred but relevant experience will be accepted A background of working with plastic or moulded parts or similar would be beneficial Responsibility: The CMM & Metrology Engineer will be responsible for all aspects of 3D scanning and measurement for new products coming into the site. Job Role: Carrying out 3D measurement scanning (using FARO Arm equipment) and CMM measurement of plastic moulded car parts and assemblies Writing programmes in Polyworks Reporting, in the form of ‘First Article Inspection Reports' (FAIRs) L iaison with Design staff to optimise drawing measurement features and tolerances etc. Manage a small team of CMM operators / inspectors If you have the relevant experience and would like to explore this excellent opportunity, please apply with your up to date CV or contact Ian at Black Cat Recruitment for more information.
