JOB- Mechanical Engineer / Equipment Technician LOCATION- Essex TERM- Permanent SALARY- £25,000- £32,000 per annum (dependent on experience) please advise what you’re looking for My client are a leading supplier of varied technical equipment and machinery to different industries and they are looking to take on a Mechanical Engineer / Equipment Technician, on a permanent basis, in the Essex area. The Mechanical Engineer / Equipment Technician will ideally have the following attributes: HNC/ HND/ NVQ / BTEC qualified or similar in Engineering Good general engineering skills – previous experience of installation / commissioning of equipment on site would be ideal Be able to read engineering drawings and assembly drawings Basic understanding / experience of pneumatics Have good attention to detail Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written Be able to work well individually as well as a team Have a good technical background Have a UK Driving Licence The Mechanical Engineer / Equipment Technician role will involve: Working hands on mainly in a workshop environment but 15%-25% of the time on customer sites (not daily) Being involved in machining, assembly, fitting, fault finding and working with pneumatics too Fitting / assembly work of equipment on the factory floor Conducting tests on machinery Piping, testing and also fault-finding pneumatic circuits Travelling as part of the role to customer site as required Full training will be provided on their specialist machinery and equipment If you are interested in this position, please apply with an up to date CV as soon as possible, along with your availability and your salary expectation.
