Legal Counsel - Sports Tech
Overview
A fantastic opportunity for a commercial lawyer to move in-house into the sports technology sector. A vacancy for legal counsel has become available at a rapidly growing and fast-paced sports tech company that boasts an impressive global reach. This role offers a great deal of variety in day to day tasks and is a challenging and stimulating environment. Key Responsibilities: Working on a wide variety of commercial contracts, including anything from technology agreements to data analytics agreements. Drafting and negotiating contracts such as marketing and sponsorships with media owners and those with advertising platforms. This also includes acting on behalf of businesses associated with the company. Providing comprehensive legal advice to those in marketing. This can range from giving advice in advertising to assisting with advising on all global brands that are available. As legal counsel, this will require you to draft terms and conditions and liaise with regulatory authorities in each of the territories the company operates in. Legal advice will be required in relation to website content and data protection, and you will be assumed to be the legal point of contact for the business for new product launches. This role is looking for someone with 0-2 years PQE, but all applicants will be considered on merit. It is expected you will have had significant experience in commercial contracts, and it would be preferable and beneficial to have had a focus on marketing, technology and media contracts.
