Overview
Management and technology consultancy with a global presence are hiring a Legal Counsel to cover a period of maternity leave until the end of January 2021. This position is based in Central London. About the Role The Legal Counsel will have a key role to play in a small legal team that engages with stakeholders right across the business. Working directly with the UK Lead Counsel, your day-to-day remit will include: Drafting, reviewing and negotiating of a wide range of agreements relating to professional services, software, frameworks, partnerships & JVs, outsourcing and other IT related contracts. Providing legal support the organisation's subsidiaries, not just in the UK but also internationally Managing external counsel and assisting in maintaining the IP portfolio Assisting with the implementation and enforcement internal governance and compliance rules About You The postholder will require at least 4 years' PQE, although candidates from all levels will be considered on merit. Applications are welcomed from both UK qualified solicitors and lawyers from other Commonwealth jurisdictions. You must be able to demonstrate extensive experience of negotiating complex commercial agreements and any work in the technology sphere will be viewed as advantageous but not essential. This role requires an individual who has a practical approach to finding commercially-oriented solutions to everyday business scenarios, as well as being somebody who is equally comfortable liaising with clients, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
