A great opportunity for a Prosecutions Lawyer in a South London Borough Council Our client, a South London Borough Council, have a locum contract for an experienced Prosecutions Lawyer to join their team. This locum role is initially for 3-6 months but is strongly anticipated to continue for longer. The council have a number of complex prosecutions coming up, encompassing matters such as: Fraud, including tenancy fraud Trading standards Food safety HMOs General regulatory prosecutions Due to the nature of this caseload, the Prosecutions Lawyer must have strong experience in the aforementioned areas and should have conducted advocacy in the Magistrates' Court. Ideally the Prosecutions Lawyer will have worked within a local authority before. The council usually offer 1 day working from home, but as a temporary precaution are offering 4 days remote working, if required, with just 1 day in the office.
