Are you a CAD Technician looking for something different? Join a privately-owned engineering specialist in Cambridge and work on a range of historical, modern building projects and other structures. OND/HND level, AutoCAD, photo imaging and occasional site investigation work. Your New Role A privately-owned engineering specialist and market leader in innovation in site investigation. Due to a strong workload and recent contract wins we are now looking to recruit an Engineering CAD Technician to support our site investigation and technical teams. You will be producing AutoCAD drawings, layouts and details on projects for a range of key clients as our workload continues to expand. In particular, CAD drawings to support site investigation analysis, reports and building surveys. This is an exciting opportunity for an CAD Technician with civil & structural engineering, construction or a built environment qualification or background. An Engineering CAD Technician looking for their first position in industry who is keen to be involved in a wide range of historical, modern building projects and other structures across the UK. The core aspects of work carried out will be predominantly CAD draughting using AutoCAD, with some data and photo imaging. Projects will include existing buildings, buildings undergoing refurbishment & remodelling, and recently constructed. You will work both in a team environment and independently, supporting our Engineers and Surveyors with delivering project work. Confident in your AutoCAD and draughting ability with an interest in problem solving and engineering projects. You we need to live locally enough to Cambridge, as the role could include occasional site visits or support to our investigation and surveying teams as required. A full UK driving licence is essential. This is an excellent opportunity for an Engineering CAD Technician looking for something different, with a business offering long-term career development.
