Overview
Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be working with a fantastic business, in Rotherham, to recruit a Management Accountant to cover a period of maternity. This is a fixed term contract starting in April and is expected to last 9-12 months. As Management Accountant in a small finance team, you will have line management responsibility for a finance assistant and be pivotal in providing financial support, in order to aid effective business performance. Your responsibilities will include delivering monthly management accounts, reviewing against budget and short-term forecasts at month end and providing commentary where appropriate. You will also maintain the fixed asset register, customer rebate records, deliver quarterly VAT returns and monthly intrastat. Balance sheet reconciliations, preparing accounts for Year End and implementing effective financial controls, new processes and documenting procedures will also form part of your role. As a smaller division of a large group, there will also be a requirement to provide divisional and Group reporting. This interim role would suit a proactive and self-motivated Qualified Accountant with experience of working in a broad finance role in a smaller business and is a great opportunity to join a well established and profitable business for a substantial period.
