Overview
My client is looking for a digital database specialist to be based in Bristol for an 11 month contract. In this role you will analyse the needs of an organisation within the defence sector. From this you will create the structure for processing data through software and hardware. Other duties may include, to develop the physical and technical foundation of the database, or to create applications to work with the database (such as billing software). The primary role for this post is the management and coordination of all LOGFAS GBR database activity, which includes: a.Update and maintain the configuration of the national LOGFAS database. b.Management of MSR (Main Supply Route) and HNS CAPCAT (Host Nation Capability Catalogue) information. c.Represent UK Defence at relevant NATO Log functional working groups as directed by the LOGFAS CIWG. d.Act as Chair for the LBWG and provide the focal point for the FLC user community, coordinating the creation and management of national LOGFAS datasets on behalf of UK Defence. e.Formulate the LOGFAS database management strategy. f. Focal point for all FLC LOGFAS database queries, including resolution of issues. g.Liaise with ISS Ops CS Jt Ops Plans for all LOGFAS database and system updates. h. Support the activity to transfer the LOGFAS applications from the AHE to OEHE. i. Support the planning of National/NATO exercises (NATO Readiness Initiatives and Agile Launch 20). j. Maintenance of the LOGBASE version control record. A key element of this role is working with FLC and ISS stakeholders to ensure the effective management of the LOGFAS GBR database, providing SQE guidance and cohering all database activity. The successful candidate will have: Essential Experience: - LOGFAS GBR Basic User Training - LOGFAS GBR Deployment Planning Course - LOGFAS GBR Deployment Management Desirable - LOGFAS NATO Training competences (NCIA delivered) PLEASE NOTE THIS ROLE REQUIRES AN ACTIVE SC CLEARANCE.
