CompEX Electrical and Mechanical Field Service Technicians Field based £30,000-36,000 Per annum (DOE) My client, a family run distributor within the MOD and Defence Services, are looking to recruit a CompEX Electrical Field Service Technician and also a CompEX Mechanical Field Service Technician to join their team on a permanent basis. These roles are full-time positions working Monday - Friday approx. 45 hours per week between 6:00am and 6:00pm. This is an exciting opportunity to work for a well-established company who offers overtime and progression. As a field service technician, you will be managing the day to day communication and activities of the customer base, attend site and complete CompEX Electrical and Mechanical inspections, PPM tasks and remedial work. Scheduling and deployment of a CompEX Electrician by shelf and service Manager. Planning, quoting and completing all required reports, certificates required for the task carried out. As these positions are field based you will be working from home covering clients based within the M4 corridor to Yorkshire area. Roles and responsibilities: To provide first point of contact for all customers who require service, technical support, risk assessments and method statements preparation/proposal of possible new opportunities for further work Update at least on a weekly basis the schedule for themselves and technicians assigned to them, including over time approval, holidays, sickness time and send to the Service Manager, on a weekly basis Ensure ALL relevant paperwork is returned to the office, including work sheets and reports within a timely manner To provide purchasing of all necessary PPE, tools and equipment required to undertake any given contract or project and manage this to work within the contract budget Undergo audits and site inspections as required by Service Manager or General Manager to improve standards at all times Liaise with Service Manager on sub-contractor selection and approval, timescales and parts costs Manage the health and safety issues related to themselves and those required by their clients, Service Technician(s), sub-contractors and liaise with health and safety, and HR consultant as required Person Specification Due to the technicalities of these roles, it is essential that you hold one or more of the following qualifications: C&G 2381 18th Edition C&G 2377 Management of Electrical Equipment or equivalent C&G 2377.02 Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment or equivalent C&G 2391 Inspection and Testing of Electrical Installations or equivalent CompEx 01 - 04 Electrical Inspection of Electrical Equipment in Hazardous Areas - Required - However Optional if run out of date and require completing again and hold CompEX 07-08 CompEx 07 - 08 Electrical inspection and Maintenance of filling Stations - Required - Optional if hold CompEX 01-04 Clean Driving Licence 3-5 years' experience in an engineering environment, experience with hazardous areas 3 years' experience in electrical testing, inspections & repairs in hazardous areas In return you will receive a competitive salary, company van with fuel card and a company phone and laptop.
